PR given by Corez Some pretty old articles I wrote for the magazine at ProVision, hope you guys learn something from them.
UBBC can be a hassle when slicing them, don't you agree? Repeating the same procedure, a 23x22 slice. But, with the "Divide Slice.." option you can slice a row of UBBC buttons in less then 30 seconds. Yes, it's that easy. Let's give it a shot. (I'll be using Photoshop CS2)
Open a new document, 322x44px (there is a total of 28 UBBC buttons, so 2 rows of 14; each UBBC buttons are 23x22px). Press K on your keyboard, you should have the slice tool selected. Use the slice tool to select the whole canvas, then move your cursor to the middle and right click. Choose the "Divide Slice.." option. Then thick the "Divide Horizontally Into" and "Divide Vertically Into" boxes.
Okay so what we wanted was 28 UBBCs with the size of 23x22px. So we'll fill "2" in the "slices down, evenly spaced" box, this should slice the canvas into two half's, horizontally. And then fill the "slices across, evenly spaced" box with "14". Press Enter and your done!
Wasn't that fast? Have fun with that extra time after slicing UBBCs now.
