Sorry about this being late: The new Killswitch Engage album wasn't anything out of the ordinary. This is their second Self Titled album and I believe they did better then last time. Their style stayed the same, which is good in some ways but bad in others. The pros of the style being the same is that they stuck to there usual themed songs, mostly self destruction or love related and they also have strong lyrics and keep decent beats etc. The cons of them sticking with their own style is that it can get a little boring after awhile, sadly. One of the difficult things about Killswitch is that you can't differentiate between different songs unless you spam them and listen to them over and over again and get to really know each song. But all in all this was a fairly good album. A couple of songs to look out for are Reckoning and Take Me Away. I agree. Same riffs, same tunings, same lyrics in a few of the songs. To me it sounded too similar, though i have no doubt fans will love it if they havnt heard it yet.
